Appleton Primary School
Appleton Primary School offers your child the opportunity to be in a superior academic environment. The National Education Department subjects are offered, and these are supplemented with additional vertical enrichment involving exploration of content, as well as horizontal enrichment involving the application of content.
Our mission is to provide our learners with maximum opportunities to develop intellectually and physically.

The Primary School builds on the excellent foundation that was laid at Appleton College's Pre-School, with the existing brain and physical development programs.
At primary school level we aim to foster critical thinking skills, creativity and independence in our students and enable them to problem solve and find solutions creatively. We encourage exploration, discovery and believe in a hands-on approach.
The classes at Appleton College are kept very small to enable the teacher to monitor and evaluate all the students on a continual basis.

As part of our curriculum we have implemented physical development and training programs for all our students, and from Grade, 000 students have daily physical activities as part of their school day.
We aim to instill a love for learning as well as for physical activity as this is the cornerstone of brain development and also develops self-confidence, self-discipline, sportsmanship, honesty and teamwork.
Appleton College Primary School operates from the premises at the Honeydew Country Club and our beautiful new main Ruimsig Campus.
At Appleton College we aim to teach children how to THINK:
Creative thinking - the production of ideas. This is very important in defining problems, imagination etc.
Critical thinking - the evaluation of ideas. This teaches children to question, to select criteria for judgement, correct their own mistakes, evaluate evidence and draw sound conclusions.
